  • Harmony... which is why myself and engineers thought big ends. I've bought a replacement engine and the bike is now going through an mot (can't wait... been far too long off the bike!). Will continue to investigate problem with original engine.

  • well how did it run??

  • I put the engine back together, managed to start it (timing etc. good) but there was a knocking. I took the engine apart again & found I'd put a chain guard in upside down (I assembled the engine upside down and the guard had "UP" printed on it... doh!). Put everything back together... but the knocking was still there. Engine is coming back out (maybe tonight) - will have to look deeper.

Will try and post a 'finished video' (street fighter project) up when complete.

    Thanks for asking...

    Lee

  • Have you tried adding the Cerma engine treatment?

And it is possible someone was knocking at the door when the engine was running.

Did you clearance all the bearings?

  • did you find your knocking sound?

  • im thinking about buying a gsxr 600 track bike the one i have found has gas flown heads what does this mean an is it likely to blow up! or be unreliable?

  • is it harmojny knocking (like every second ) or disharmony?? couldn't that be valve???
