I've seen a lot of taiko, but that was INCREDIBLE. I mean, I got a better feeling from that than I have from seeing some live acts, and that's pretty darn impressive.

@rubymickey - Granted, I can see (hear) the similarities ... but, um, Taiko has been around for many, many centuries longer than Gene Krupa was alive. =) I think it more likely that *he* used the rhythms associated with Taiko rather than the other way around.
