Amazon currently has a price of $50.99, and since this is Amazon, it will probably change about 10 times before the release date. I've never heard of or used DVDEmpire, but they have a price of $41.99. Both have free shipping, so either way, a great price for the entire series, both movies, and a handful of decent extras.

TVShowsOnDVD.com speculates, and I concur, that there WILL be songs replaced. MTV claims that they will try to use covers and sound-alikes as much as possible. Still, the overall quality will be better than the crappy VHS-sourced bootlegs/downloads we've all been watching since 2002.

Like everyone here, I am happy the Daria Complete Series DVD came out. I also wished that the original music was on there as well. However, one has to consider this- it was up for release in 2007, and they tried to clear each and every song on the show, but the labels wouldn't cooperate. Either they wouldn't clear the songs, or they wanted too much money. There were three choices, no DVD set, or a very expensive set- due to music rights, or an affordable set- minus the music.
