State Street Residential W/ Lyrics

Holding fast until
The rent checks wear thin
Because it hasn't sunk in so far

When it's a drab routine
The dust starts building
Until it's hard to come clean

Then my months stack up
To an addictive crush
As if the drink weren't enough

A stagger cannot compete
There's no charm in being
A residential state street

And if I was sober
Would I kill caution and stay over?
And if I was sober
Would I rip hearts apart like paper?

I wish you could know
Better than you show
With parted lips pointing down
That the whiskey soothes
More than you could ever do

And if I was sober
Would I kill caution and stay over?
And if I was sober
Would I rip hearts apart like paper?

What a difference it'd make
And what a different it'd make

And if I was sober
Would I kill caution and stay over?
And if I was sober
Would I rip hearts apart like paper?

What a difference it'd make
And what a different it'd make

  • I've never heard a band rock SO HARD their the beatles of the 20th century.

  • @mitchskates420 , Definitely agree with you there. I think so many people don't actually realize how much of a rock band they actually are because they just know I'll follow you into the dark...

  • Thank you for posting this hidden gem.

  • @ThalionXII no problem, for almost a year or two I was wondering why nobody had uploaded it, so I finally just stopped being lazy.

  • And what a difference it'd make.

  • @TEHgazCAWK Yeah love that line, I think my favorite is "If i was sober, would I rip hearts apart like paper"

  • @heyWorldbeveryAfraid ill get the popcorn...

  • @mitchskates420 You do realize that the Beatles too were from the 20th century?

  • @mitchskates420 just admit it, you're wrong..

  • @mitchskates420

Actually, my original statement was agreeing with you... You misunderstood and somehow are trying to make it seem like i was being ignorant...

  • @chinhsmom01 whatever fag u elaborate to much.... find something else in life 2 do but criticize

  • @mitchskates420

Honestly, dude. Did you read anything I said or are you just blatentl stupid... I have not said anything bad about DCFC. All I have said is that there is no way, this is where you need to read carefully, there is no way... That they can be the Beatles of 20th century, if, the Beatles are from the 20th century.. Do you not understand that? What is your problem with the comprehention of that.

  • @chinhsmom01 whatever dude u don't really know shit cause you don't have the art or skills to make anything like this

  • @mitchskates420

PLUS, if you knew anything about DFCF, you would know that they their first album, "Something about airplanes" Came out in 1998, but, all of their subsequent albums came out in the 21st century. So that does make them a 21st century group. Which in this case, you can say they are the beatles of the 21st century.

  • @mitchskates420

I know it was still the 20th century... I think you are missing the point I am making.. How can DCFC be the Beatles of the 20th century, if the Beatles were the Beatles of the 20th century... It is an easy concept to understand really. And it is spelled douche, not dousche; with that, i must agree.
