Two 1:9 scale Saturn 1B rockets, the first launched by Vern Hoag and the second by Steve Eves, facilitated by the rocket boys at MDRA. It doesn't get any better (or cooler) than this! Although Vern had some recovery issues and Steve's second stage didn't fire, both will be back with even cooler projects in the future!
SAD day for Vern,, his was so beautiful,, Steves worked flawlessly,,many things had to happen before the second stage would light,, because the sustainer was too far from vertical the computer did not allow it to light, I would have loved to see it burn the second stage,, but otherwise all is good. GREAT job Vern and Steve, I don't know if I would have had the marbles to push the button in those winds.

TO STEVE AND VERN, WOW!!! YOU GUYS AND EVERYONE INVOLVED AT MDRA ARE UNREAL!!! I MEAN IN ALL REALITY, WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT THESE BIRDS, BUILT OF WOOD, GLUE, NUT/BOLT---HAMMER THEM INTO THE SKY WITH MORE THAN FEW THOUSAND HORSE POWER. IT'S REALLY JUST (MY GRANDFATHER USED TO SAY) FANTASTIC, NOW ISN'T IT. WHEN YOU CONSIDER ALL THE THOUGHT, EFFERT, TIME AND PASSION. WELL THERE REALLY IS NO FAILER IN ANY OF THIS IS THERE. JUST DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SUCCESS. *AWESOME DISPLAY*
