No, it's not launch control. According to other videos showing the launch control on the E60/E61 M5 it will rev to approximately 4k rpm.

@M335 OMG you are sooooo stupid man:| sometimes i am amaised by some comments from people that know nothing about driving a car:| 1st of all that was not lauch control! He was dribling his foot on the acceleration pedal for a good momentum start and the acceleration 0-100 was a blast because the turometer was cought in a powerful RPM before he started to go up.Great start man,blast acceleration.

Thats not launch control. I think he feathers the throttle while applying brakes.
