The ArtExchange supports working artists and arts education through the development of a world-class visual arts center reflecting the rich cultural heritage of our community.
Thank you Suja Lowenthal for destroying Acres of Books in order to make way for the ArtExchange. It's hard to imagine a more inappropriate justification for using taxpayer money and eminent domain to force a Long Beach HISTORICAL LANDMARK out of business. Thank God the public funds are drying up, but Acres of Books (a money-making private employer as well as a cultural asset) is gone forever. What have you got now? Another abandoned building in downtown Long Beach. Well done.
