While I was covering the transport workers strike sit-in in front of the ministerial cabinet in Qasr El Eini, this army officer Mohmed Amin asked me to delete this video, and I did without any resistance. Then, he started yelling at me for asking him to not speak with me with disrespect. Soon after I found two soldiers grabbing my purse and holding my hand tightly while escorting me to a building, where they questioned me and made me delete all my footage from the sit-in. I was not beaten but was given a lesson in "homeland security" and how I am ruining the country's reputation by covering strikes and protests through my blog & social networks. The 3-hour arrest ended with a chat over Nescafe about the revolution and the deepest apology from this officer in the video. Before i was escorted out, I gave him a No Military Trials sticker and asked him to wear it, but he didn't. Down with SCAF!
Well i don't understand anything. Did he arrest you because he appeared in the video and he refused that or because of something else ?
