My office isn't far from Zuccotti Park and when I heard it was being cleared I went down with my camera. I ended up filming for 18 hours until the Park was reopened at 6pm on November 15, 2011. The police presence was overwhelming, more than I've ever seen - more than during the blackout, more than the days after September 11th.

You seem to think that the US is the best country in the world. From that I can only guess that you've never visited other countries, or maybe you've only visited some really bad and overtly dysfunctional countries. I've got friends all the world who are happy they left the states.

Its a lot better than a lot of other countries. The US is one of the only countries in the world where you can defend yourself in court. We have rights like no other country, not saying that other countries dont have freedom, just not like we do. Every country will have its own faults. Before you listen to this guy/girl or anyone else telling you the wrongs of the USA and hop a plane to live in Europe somewhere, do some research and you will find that the USA isnt as bad as people think.

Let's remember that this is a private plaza that is owned by one of the nearby corporations. Forget the irony. The fact is that they possess the right to clear this park and deny access to anyone they want. And when people create a health threat by defecating in the park and urinating in the park consistently for weeks, that warrants clearing the park.

Also, the police are the immoral ones? Let's remember how the protesters sent the company death threats when they wanted to clean the park
