  • Obama has the right approach to not call for a boycott. The Chinese gov. and people would take this very seriously. While we may see this as a win short term, it would be disastrous for long-term relations with China. BTW, since have borrowed billions and billions of dollars from them, it's now wise to poke your finger in your banker's eye.

  • How's that negotiating with terrorist states without pre-conditions workin' out for ya?

  • @mowgly3000 ok mate...just go on then...intervene in everything...until this world turns into one big hell...cause no good has ever come out of what U.S has done to other countries so far...only death and destruction...at least during British colonies they gave something back.......I still don't understand why u have to do it...out of all these countries...why is it america... just fix your own country first....and again U.S didn't do shit in the second world war against germany.

  • President Carter got the peace prize too. You know Obama was nominated for the Nobel Peace prize twelve days after taking office. Upon acceptance of winning it, Obama was praised by the committee, "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy". . They also gave the peace prize to Yasser Arafat, the leader of the PLO, the best known terrorist organization on the globe. This is like giving it to David Duke, the former Grand Wizard of the KKK.

  • OMG this man is crazy

  • @Alanadoredor USSR were simply defending themselves, Nazis attacked them whereas US was not attacked (by Germany) & could have easily chose not get involved, so actually between the two US had least self-interest in the endeavor. Nagasaki was too excessive in terms of (Jap) civilians killed, but not a complete waste since it did stop mad Emperor Hirohito's expansionism to China, Eastern Russia, Koreas etc & eventually led to end of war & Japan to become a fully-functioning democracy you see 2day

  • @mowgly3000 that was not the result of America mate, but from soviet union. so the intentions are not humanitarian yet America always tries to portrays it as one. Besides in so many cases, the results were not good as u think i.e. heroshima, iraq & afghanistan war... so if the intentions are not good and the results ain't either, why do u wonder that ppl don't like America?i won't argue anymore cause u sound like a patriot to me who has already been brainwashed, so this discussion is pointless.

  • @Alanadoredor One often makes a common mistake of judging policies by their INTENTIONS vs their RESULTS. True, US intervened when Britain & Western Europe was rocketed & Japan invaded Pearl Harbor, it's intentions might not have been humanitarian, but the result was that Eastern & Western Europe as well as Hawaii and remaining jews in those places were indeed saved. My grandfather fought with Russian Army against Hitler starting from mid 1941. Yes, it was "late", but better late than never

  • @mowgly3000 I just think that u r twisting stuff. in the case of Nazis, US didn't intervene to "save" the people, but because it didn't want Soviet Union to take the power. How could u save them when already 60 million ppl had died? u were too late. and I don't know how u can compare nazis with countires like Iran, Iraq, or Kuwait or whatever and America has specifically mentioned that Saudi Arabia is their ally and u cannot do bussiness with ur enemy cause that makes u a hypocrite.

  • @Alanadoredor Well, if one were to take that view then US should not have intervened in Nazi Germany and we should have let those ppl burn and invade and enslave everyone in their proximity. America is not siding with Saudia Arabia, they are doing business with them, there is a subtle yet important difference there. US is a pluralist country (& our president is multiracial son of a muslim). Singular "American view" is a myth & so far we have not turned a single country into 2nd America

  • @mowgly3000 why is it any of ur business?look at Iran & Iraq now, what have u done for them? their countries have turned into ruins.they are getting worse as each day passes by. maybe the hypocrite America can stop siding with countries like Saudi Arabia that are even worse than Iran and Iraq in terms of human rights and dictatorship.just live ur life in America and let these ppl to live in whatever shit-hole that they want to live.stop making every country a second America with American views.
