  • I am glad, Jim, that you liked the music. The church is the orthodox cathedral of St. Nicolaus in beautiful town Sremski Karlovci, in region Vojvodina, on the north of Serbia (Europe). Church was built between 1758-1762. in style of late baroque. The town of Sr. Karlovci is placed on the right bank of the beautiful river Danube. Greetings from Igor.

  • Glad you like it.

  • Good stereo recording quality! The church sanctuary must have some wonderful reverberation acoustics. Dulci Jubilo, a Christmas song, but, I love to hear it any time of the year! Very well trained choir and the trumpets and other instruments really gives the choir that majestic sound! Thank you!

  • @ellenlinn7 Wow ! I've done some choral performing myself over the years.. Did you get to perform in a cathedral with the kind of "exponential" reverberation that seems to go on into outer space - like this one, for instance ?

  • A transcendent work; for the few who have minds to grasp, and hearts to hold, that which is of substance.

  • I live in London, I even knew John Wilbraham, I was young then but never in my life heard this - wonderful truly wonderful especially at thye christmas time

  • I was lucky enough to be able to sing with this Choir in 1969, a major highlight of my musical education, and indeed, I have never had quite such sublime musical experiences since. Thanks for posting this!

  • Non ita videtur, dicendo suo solo.

  • I enjoyed the music. What is the name and place of the church in the picture. Thanks, Jim

  • Thank you for uploading this fantastic melodies.

Long time I haven't heard and sung Samuel Scheidt's "In dulci jubilo".

    Warm regards.
