Either way, these were pretty much bottom-of-the barrel fighters going at it for an alternate spot. There were better fighters back then; for example, this fight took place on the same card Tito Ortiz and Randy Couture made their debut in.
Yeah the production as well. I remember seeing Joe Rogan interviewing Tito and Joe had about as much charisma as a bag of cement, but I love this sport. I've been following it since 2000 when Jens Pulver KOed John Lewis at UFC 30. I'm glad to see that it's become so huge now.
