I converted my Bronco from a 302 to a Cummins 4BT. This is the first start.

  • Does the transmission have to be moved to go into the EB?

  • I used the Ford Chassis version of the 4BT and the drive train from the bellhousing back is in the original position.

  • Did you cut and weld a f-250 chassis to the bronco chassis, is that what you mean, or how did you do the engine mounts, and what trans are you useing? I'm currently in the process of converting mine to a 4bt, and the zf 5 speed trans.

  • No I just used the 4BT from a step van that had a Ford Drive train so the Ford bell housing would work. I'm using a NP435 transmission. I moved the engine mounts on the Bronco frame forward to keep the drive train in it's original location.

  • is it a gasoline engine converted to diesel???or did you swap the stock one for a diesel engine???

  • It's a Cummins 4BT, the four cylinder version of the 6 cylinder diesel engine used in Dodge Pickups.
