An environment I've built in the UDK these last 4 weeks for my own personal portfolio. Trees and foliage were made in Autodesk Maya.

Bird- and Falling leaf particle systems belong to Epic Games, everything else was made by me.

The music is composed by Vincent Diamante for the game Flower which can be purchased on the Playstation Network along with the great soundtrack.

  • Another question. :3 Where did you make the map/level itself? UDK or something like Mudbox?

  • @Swordie100 Haha, that's fine :D I made all the props in Maya and the blockout for the scene in UDK using the terrain tools and some bsp brushes :)

  • @Marrex89 Can you give me some tips/tuts for modelling? For like flowers etc. Trees isn't that hard I think and can be done with speedtree ;d

  • @Swordie100 I'd suggest you take a visit to polycount and ask around there, they're a nice bunch of helpful people :D Other than that, thegnomonworkshop usually has a lot of great tutorials for various programs and different categories.

  • Aew you a college major in some sort of 3d digital designing??

  • @powerenslaver I've been studying computer graphics at a university for about 3 years, like visual effects etc. We had very little focus on realtime & game graphics except for our third year's specialization project so I've been learning most of it myself on my own spare time :)

    It took me about 4 weeks to complete in total with about 4-8 hours a day except for the weekends I think.
