Sounded interesting, even good, up until the whole insectoid thing lol ...personally, I think people are a bit too quick to bash the 98 film- it had it's flaws, but it had promise as a launching point. Had Zilla Jr. proven more durable and had it's nuclear breath, they really could have had something- perhaps he could have grown even larger than his parent (second generation tends to). Honestly I think it was a mistake not to make the sequel they obviously set up with the baby at the end.

@sonbuhitsunei I too think it was a mistake that the sequel didn't get made. I still thought there was a lot of potential there. To this day Emmerich states that his Godzilla 1998 film is his most asked film when he meets fans, so he knows there was a following thereafter.

No unfortunately I don't recall reading that in the treatment. I believe Zilla still has that hurricane wind breath.

Despite the fact that I prefer the classic godzilla to zilla this new concept of another zilla movie sounds good movie wise, not the true king, but is still a good movie monster.

if you want to see the continuation of the story after the baby godzilla at the end of the first movie, get on Netflix and look up the Godzilla cartoon that came out after the movie. Its a great show and a million times better than the movie.

there should never be a sequel to this! it was just terrible kill zilla off already! like they did in final wars hail to the orignal godzilla the one and true godzilla!
