Whose choice is it to behave atrociously? Are there not logical and foreseeable outcomes for behaviors? If I behave badly, I guess it is I who have chosen to do so. God didn't make me do it. You didn't make me do it. My kids didn't make me do it. I made the choice, and I will suffer the consequences.... it just follows.

Yes, but god has foreseeable (even more so than humans) consequences to his actions too! He chose to create the universe and he knew when he made it, since he is all-knowing, that he was going to have to kill off almost the entire human race... yet he is all good? if he loves us wouldn't he be more apt to create us in such a way where we wouldn't piss him off so much... or at least found it in his loving heart to find some other non-genocidal way of punishing us?

Again, to KNOW something before it happens, is not to make it happen. In the context of theology, the creator knows the choices of the created, and the outcome of those choices. I suppose, theologically speaking, he could choose not to create, but that presents it's onw set of problems.

couldn't he have also chosen to create a different world... one in which would set the circumstances so he could, if not prevent them from disobeying him, prevent himself from having to wipe out the entire race with a massive flood?

From the standpoint of theology, the destruction of man in the flood story was a logical outcome of his own behavior.

A few minutes ago I was in state prison. I was interacting with people who had chosen to violate society's law. In some cases, society has said, 'because of your behavior, you'll forfeit 1/2 of your life'. On a smaller, yet no less ominous scale these people are suffering the logical outcome of their behavior.

True, but god created humans knowing full well that he would end up drowning all but one family of them, this just sounds sadistic to me if he could have easily just created a universe in which humans would not behave so atrociously.

@Richdavt this was at odds at what the catholic church was the priest would never have got involved in our person business in such a way, and you was free to come and go to the church as you wished. In this church the idea of going to the church and sit at the back quietly to worship was out of the question. Various people would try to 'befriend' you and know your circumstances (as well as probably judge you) then probably welcome you or not to the church.This to me is so dangerous

I grew up as a catholic, but no longer am a believer, but even so having been dragged to a friends bapist church and hearing various stories they have told me, im ASTOUNDED at how much power the pastor has over the congregations individual lives. People are told not to come to church (for a period) if they have been found to be sinning, other members are told not to talk to that person, and also the average worshipers entire life/social network revolves around the church and the people there.

Oh were to begin. Evolution it true, that a fact because we can tell through t dino fossils. but to say that means that God isn't true is a lie. and to pinpoint all Christian on one group's beleifs is a load of crap. almost every Christian group has different beleifs, and that doesn't matter. because as long as they believe that Jesus in our diven saviour and God is our creator and follow jesus; they're going to heaven.

English language was never Latin, for the record. Modern English as we know it did evolve from former Germanic idioms mostly and there was some Latin vocabulatory that went into it (but French was considerably more important lexically and overall, thanks to the Norman influence after the conquest). Your point still stands but your example is not correct

Yes, animals adapt to their environment (or the animals that can't cope die off or elsewhere to more suitable climates), but they don't change into a different animal. The fossil record verifies that. Apparently some species or kinds didn't evolve AT ALL over millions of years.... Shouldn't there be some transitional creatures between apes and humans be alive today? Why did the entire range of transitions die out?

Well, you seem to have accepted the notion that the earth is billions of years old. Any particular reasons why? Other than starlight... Radio-metric dating works, but keep in mind that the amount of C14 in the atmosphere is currently increasing, which suggests that there was less of it in the past. That would give unreliable ages. Atheist scientists assume that the rate has been virtually stable throughout time. You also assume that the stars represent solar systems, which has not been proven.

You should understand clearly why people get saved. They have been hypnotized to fear, and moreover they have been trained to seek organized religion as a solution to that fear. It is a self-contained, yet illogical and cruel, reasoning system designed by the keepers of information to subjugate and exploit a mass. That is why the Catholic church is the largest landowner in the World.
