Just think of people's negative comments, in this case homophobic ones, as their coping mechanism for their lives that are unfulfilling and therefore frustrating!

They cannot make there own lives better, so they try to tear down the lives of others.

Homosexuals are just the "in" group to put down.

I guess it is a perk of being part of a religion, you can automatically assume you are better than someone, even though it is based on bullshit!
