Upon powering up your PRO 2050, press TRUNK button for about 5 sec. Then press a channel to save trunking frequencies. Next choose the type of trunking system (Motorola - E1, E2, E2- 00, E2-HI or ED (EDACS), etc.) Pres E (Enter). then encode all the trunking frequencies available in your area and save it to memory.like in conventional programming mode. When you're done, You can press SEARCH to look for trunking I.D. or FIPS code. Save the I.D.s in selected TRUNK BANKS

I have this model, but I only use the BNC Antenna connector. Do you know what size I need for the telescopic screw-in antenna? Any information will be useful.

The pro 2050 was the first genration for trunk scanning, hell i still got my pro2050.

Sorry I didn't see your post sooner. It is a radio that I purchased over 10 years ago. I think you would be able to find a used radio from eBay or check with Radio Shack for a more up-to-date model. Take care!

The BNC Antenna with 90 degree connector is far superior used with this scanner. One of the first thing I did was discard the telescoping, screw-in antenna. The screw-in antenna came with the scanner. Sorry, I don't have any information on the threads or the antenna.

It's a great scanner. The Trunk Tracking may not be the most current, but for general listening it is excellent.
