Like million other muslim girls, I don't stay at home 24/7 and I do go out alone all by myself. Theres no harm for a muslim girl going out without a male by her side, as long as she has good intention and proper hijab.e.g. going for grocery shopping, to school, visiting friends or families, the mosque, etc

Women should be taught to defend themselves. Women should be educated highly. Women should be placed in political and economic power. Women should be allowed to attract, meet, date, and eventually marry any man SHE chooses... not some guy her father chooses for her.

@flyingv747 The Quran allows men to have up to 4 wives... if taken fundamentally and literally. But a woman is not allowed to have 4 husbands? Men do not have to cover up like women do. Men are allowed to go about freely, but women need a male escort of her kin. Why is it so evil for a woman to go about alone with the ability to defend herself without a man to protect her? If you feel you have to protect a woman, you are effectively calling her weak. Women should be independent, not slaves.

If a Woman cannot rule the household and make all the money while the man stays home and cares for the house and children, then it is not right. BOTH genders should eb able to do the SAME THINGS... @flyingv747 No. Covering their beauty, covering their entire bodies is not self-expression. it's suppression. Now, I obviously am not saying women should look like sluts, but they shouldn't have to cover every inch of themselves, including their hair. A woman should be allowed to speak her mind ANYWHERE at ANYTIME on ANY MATTER. But men of Islam rarely allow this and fundies never allow this. In Arab countries, women cannot run a country without males. Why does a woman need a man to protect her?

Islam is the only religion that brought women out of oppression, Islam gave right to a women to vote 1400 yrs ago, whereas your moden society gave this right just about a century ago. In Islam Men & women are equal (Quran:Chapter 3:195), they are different only in the responsibilities given to them.
