During his period in the late 80's he succeeded to produce rock songs which were on one hand popular and on the other were not commercial rubbish....
As i said a pure classic with his humble friend from Purple family, by his side on the bass.

@thegreatlizzy I dont think so... He wanted them to get clean and be a better band; they didnt want that so he left.. I love Phil, but you wonder that maybe if he would have listened to Gary, he might still be alive today...

Like the blues work he did, but that man was born to rock. Saw him live in '84 opening for Rush. I was pleasantly surprised and went out to buy his Victims of the Future album. Hadn't seen this, thanks for posting.
