The plain topped Epiphone Les Paul Standard is an electric guitar that delivers all the signature sound of a Gibson Les Paul at a fraction of the cost. The Mahogany body provides excellent tonal depth and resonance while the Alnico Classic humbucker pickups deliver bucket loads of warmth.

The set Mahogany neck with slim-tapered profile and 22 fret Rosewood fretboard provides the familiar feel and familiar action that Les Paul players love. These fingerboards look so much better than the Specials! Beautiful, but I wish Epiphone's headstocks looked like Gibson's.

@scosystems Imo, people who just come out and say "go and get a gibson", are generally morons who must just be so detached from the world. I am 29 and have played the guitar for some 20 yrs of that and consider myself to be good enough to warrant a gibson. However, I also have a 2yr old son, a mortgage and bills to pay, so a gibson is a mere pipedream for me im afraid. So in future u should shut up, coz no one wants to here your moronic "go and get a gibson statement"!!!

This guitar is for me...and this thing will bring a big sound with my new Marshall half stack I just bought today :).....and I agree with the guy up top, I'm not that rich I just want this Les Paul sense I have one with actives I'd like this one for jamming around while not wasting batteries all day

Help! My epihpone SG 400 EB Has the strap pin under the neck on the top side of the body and when I stand with my strap and don't hold the guitar, it hangs down and it's 3x harder to play the guitar :/ Anyone knows how to fix that?

ive got one of these among other guitars and it sounds great if you cant afford a Gibson get an Epiphone and if you dont like the tone or sound of the humbuckers just switch the pickups.

@ELSKYO the plus top has a flamed maple top, which looks a lot nicer, with stripes in the finish (imo)
