Head Turn Test 01

For this assignment, we had to design a character and then do an animated head turn, which included a change in expression, arc, and easing in and out. Thanks to my career in Flash, I knew all about easing, but I didn't anticipate just how long doing everything by hand would take. Boy does Flash streamline the process... Anyway, this is a first test of part of the turn. It isn't finished, but I thought people might like to see the process. Next up: Test number 2...

Well the final pose I SWEAR looks straight out of Animaniacs. I didn't reference that or anything, it just looks like a face Yakko would make.

I like him...I think he's a keeper. I don't know what you're planning on doing with him, but you could have him randomly invade the house where Fred and the gang always are. Where is that anyway?

The Captain will be appearing in his own cartoon short, most likely. Unrelated to Fred. Though it might be fun to have a space chicken cameo, since they'll be flying around the universe.

Thanks. I still have a lot of work to do on it... I'm not entirely happy with the way the first movement is jumpy. I wanted to go past the stopping point and ease back, but I think I might have gone too far past.
