OK, so I know there are a few people hanging on seeing footage from the Munich 888 Gathering, so here's a quick look at the day of the Gathering itself.

Aw, I miss everyone!

The first day was soooo overwhelming! And the when we first walked up I remember thinking, oh mai gawd, half of this group is holding a video camera! ;)

LOL! I actually thought MORE people would be filming things! A camera makes a great shield for shy people.

Yeah, there were people at that first day that I'd have made more of an effort to talk to if I knew they weren't going to be there later on. And hell yeah, it was a lot to process all at once! Hard to be cool when your head is spinning!

Oh the post-gathering blues are SO hard to take. You must be suffering more than most. Don't you just want to hug everyone sooo much?

I know, I thought more would have filmed throughout the day. And I am really shy, I don't know why I didn't think of that...to just hide behind the camera all day! ;)

I do want to give everyone a hug. Big time. :(

Yeah, who would know that people you hadn't met two days before could possibly mean that much to you by the end of the weekend? It was truly amazing.

You? Shy? You seemed to do really well - I'd never have guessed. I think that a high proportion of YouTubers are terminally shy though, so I guess a crowd with a few big personalities is a good place to hide!

I know, it really is crazy, the whole YT gathering experience. I never went into this YT thing thinking I would make some really good friends. :)

I think I seemed less shy because by the time I found you and Ally, I was just excited to speak English and understand 100% of what you guys were saying. I was feeling weird because there was an expectation that I could understand everything/most, but I really understood very little.

Yeah, luckily I don't give anyone the impression that I know any German (totally butchering it when I speak it is a good start!) I get some stuff though, but not enough to be able to use it in any practical way.

Ah yes, the language barrier must have multiplied the shyness in a big way! I was so glad when I heard Ally was coming (OK, mainly because I like her) but also because I knew people wouldn't be speaking English just for me. I was still surprised how much ambient chat was in English.

Thanks for the tips and recommendations, I took notes. And I hope that the rain will just stop for one hour tomorrow so that we can go to that store. Yay!

Now I only need to find a butter-replacement, hm...
