Thank you so so much, you made cable knitting so easy. I have been searching for a way to cable knit without cable needles and your technique is definately the best. THANK YOU.

This really cleared up my problem with two-stitch cables without a cable needle! Thanks!

This is a very cute cable. But we repeat the cable on very row or to alternate it after several rows? Sorry to ask but I'm still quite new to knitting cables.

Thank you, this is a wonderful 2 stitch method!

This video is one of the best I've seen on youtube in teaching how to do cable stitches. I'm knitting my first baby cable rib hat and it's been working wonderfully with the technique shown in this video. It's simple and the instructions are easy to follow! Thank you so much!

I agree -- This is a great video! But, I'm at a loss as to what to do on the return...What to do when I get to the cables? Do I do the opposite, meaning, if the cable stitches in the row above were right slanting, then a left-slantiing, do I now do a left-slanting, then a right-slanting to get the pattern ? I guess, a more complete explanation on how to achieve a cable pattern as opposed to just how to do individual stitches would be helpful.

This is only an explanation of the technique how to do cable stitches without using the cable-needle. In this case I did the same slanting every 4th row. Knit the stitches in the other 3 rows as they are.

it depends on how you want your cable, I did it every 4th row.

This video was great!
I was wondering once you have done the cable what do you do for your next row?

just knit in the next rows the stitches like in all cable patterns. In this case: 4 Right sts. over 3 rows and the 4th row is a cable row.

How does this work for larger cables .. say 4 or 6 stitch? This one looks great!!

this works good for 2 stitches, for more like a 4 stitch cable i think it would be difficult to handle the stitches this way
