Oh the memories. Class 9201 in Orland here. I went to Prototype in NY D1G. This video is what is expected from recruiting. They paint a good picture of what it is like but if you are smart you can see through the BS. You will get an education and you get paid but you will clean! Clean clean clean. This place is the best it will get. I have been told the requirements are relaxed but I am sure the Fleet will sort out the incompetent operators.

at EO A school the volleyball pit was never used for playing volleyball it was the beat down pit usually after dinner and before room inspection day so there would be sand everywhere

I just qualified MO at the S8G prototype. I just want to let all you out there in P-School know, remember your A-school stuff. In fact, for an MO at least, our checkouts contained more A-school Knowledge than P-school knowledge. Don't brain dump the shit

Good luck. Work your ass off while you are there. I'm glad I did, I am working at a Civilian plant now making 80k/yr to start, and only did 6yrs in the navy.

Carmangary, Hi. Yes, I would agree the South Carolina barracks or dorms were much nicer than the Orlando, Florida barracks and the Ft. Eustis Army Base Barracks.

Suggestions for students going through the pipeline now.You should study hard, learn, and remember especially heat transfer, fluid flow, thermodynamics, electrical, & chemistry equations since you'll most likely come across it again when you leave the Navy.

YoSoydePinas, I agree... It's easier to memorize all the units of measurement until it's like the 123's and ABC's. Only then you'll be able to run through all the problem solving within a decent amount of time.
