The recorded version of this song is on "Forgotten But Not Gone," a benefit album to raise funds for the thousands of Gulf Coast residents still displaced by Hurricane Katrina five years after. The whole album is first-rate, but this track puts a chill up my spine every time. Check out the site to sample all the songs -- Americana roots music at its best and for a very good cause.
