American pro player Tom Yore surprised the foosball world (and himself) with a great Open Singles performance at the recent TecBall World Championships in Aschaffenburg, Germany. In this video clip Yore, competing in his first-ever TecBall event, faces Belgian legend Ismael Saban in a big semifinal match.

@HotBlastCarver I'd argue that the ease with which a 5-row shot is pulled off is dependant on the defense of the opponent and the offensive player's ability to pick and shoot the open hole; I agree they're not seen as often, which I find is a mistake in many player's game, but I'd argue that would leave more players susceptible to them.

Also, what's wrong with the ITSF rulebook? Are you used to a different set of rules (for example, the IFP), or perhaps those a local league?

I always hate the wining about 5-row shots, they're not as easy to pull off because you don't see them happen all that often. Maybe you shouldn't go to the coffeeshop (a.k.a. Dutch marihuana shop) as much, those rules are for slower players.

I understand what you mean by saying the game isn't about a win, and there is a beauty in the way it's played; however, at this level it is about the win because money is on the line. These players are both professionals, and will do whatever it takes to get the money (& prestige). According to ITSF rules, 5-row shots are completely legal.

Also, I'd contend that there isn't a more technical player than Spredeman (though I don't think he's the best American player [Pappas, Loffredo, Ryan Moore]).

it's like diference between europa basketball and nba. athletic play with 3 combos vs technique ant tactics.

even more. europe is more technikal side, and more beuty in our play.

i don't think foosball is about a win.
