I think the comparison they make is no matter the torque you use on an alternative method (adhesive, locking nut etc...) it will eventually fail. Using the correct torque with fasteners is crucial, but some fail to consider this. Using the correct torque with Nordlock removes the likely hood of stretched threads and as the angle of the thread is less than the angle on the cam washer, it will not come undone unless you intend it to.

The video acknowledges that the bolt must stretch to loosen the nut. But then it claims that there is no risk of over-stretching the bolt. If the bolt were tightened to its theoretical maximum, then stretching it some more would clearly exceed it's elastic limit. They really should provide a percentage value by witch you have to lower the maximum torque, in order to accommodate the extra stretching required to release the fastener.
