r pinyin is mixed of 'r' + 'j'. And remember: don't vibration your tongue when you pronounce 'r' pinyin. ^^
-
It seems that
zh - unaspirated sound ???
ch - aspirated sound ???
I don't know if they are right or wrong? Explain me, please. Tks.

Retroflex (âm quặt lưỡi): zh, ch, sh, & r.
zh like 'dj' sound in jam, jewel, George
ch like 'tch' sound in church, chain
sh like 'sh' sound in wash, shouwer
r like 'r' sound in war, raw
-
The tongue curled up for these 4 sounds.

If you're a native English speaker: "zh" corresponds to the initial consonant sound of the word "dry", and "ch" corresponds to the initial consonant sound of the word "try". They are clearly distinct. The "sh" is like the English "shy" but with the tongue curled up exactly as for "dry" and "try". The "r" is like in the word "run", with the tongue held the same as for the other 3 sounds. These 4 are grouped together because of the same tongue position.
