Every year, I lead a group of Celtic music fans to exotic destinations to experience the music and culture of the region. Good food. Good drink. Good company. That is what my Celtic Invasion Vacations are all about.

In 2010, over a dozen of us traveled to Oban, Scotland for an inspiring week. For me, it all began in Glasgow with my wife, Gwen. She was pregnant with our first child, Kenzie. It was cool when we arrived. As we wandered the streets, the temperature dropped. It was brisk and cold. Just magical. We walked close, hand-in-hand as we left the botanical gardens and made our way back to our hotel. Love was in the air.

Two days later, we were in Oban. A volcanic eruption in Iceland delayed a number of travelers, but it did not dampen any of our spirits. I played music. We sang together at a pub and in our cottage. On our free day, Gwen and I walked together in Oban along the sea wall. We ate seafood. We laughed and joked. We soaked in our growing romance.

It was that imagery that came to me last December when I decided to write a love song for my wife for Christmas. Now I'm happy to share our love story with you.

I hope you enjoy the bells of Christmas as much as I do.

Slainte!
