Waverly Hills Sanitarium 1936 (20 mins)

A Public Domain film circa. 1936 called "On The Front Lines" which showed the ongoing fight against the medical/health scourge of the times - Tuberculosis.

What would be of most interest here to the majority of the You Tube viewing community is that the famously "Haunted" Tuberculosis Sanitarium WAVERLY HILLS is featured in this movie. You will see Waverly Hills staff and patients going about their daily activities back in 1936.

It is hard to believe how bad things were before Penicillin. Now if you get TB you get a shot and you are back on your feet. Back then you were laid up for months and often died anyway.

@black4pienus Hi, well it is on Friday nights for the half night and Saturday night for the full night tours. Yes, that many people. You can arrange to have a private ghost hunt which, I believe, are held during the week only. The maxium is ten persons or must pay what equals ten people which is one thousand dollars. Your group is supposed to be the only people in the building. I was hoping to get family members together and do that. Tours start next month (March) and last through August.

@black4pienus I've got a ghost hunt coming up in June at Waverly. I've been there a couple times before and it's great. What I don't like about it is that now they have up to 40 people for the half night and full night tours. Too many people in the building especially if you are trying to determine where sounds are coming from. I've taken tons of pictures there and my last visit with my neice was a good night for activity.

I've seen a lot of 'ghosthunt' videos of waverly hill. maybe some of the people in this video are still hunting the place. ;-)
