@spareaxe Know the genre. these guys are talented, fantasically. but as with all new comers they are trying so hard to be good enough with the singing and the dancing that they lose the reality of the story. You are good enough. You got the job. now act like you didnt go to performance arts highschool and more like you dropped out all together. (while singing the right notes and dancing the write steps)

@spareaxe I agree. and I am. not that im too old to keep performing. and i do.
I was just saying, the show is about teen violence. a little more Fosse and broken lines, even grundge is entirely appropriate. Highschool football players or otherwise rough youth, if possesing some talent, can make a far better "Westside" then song & dance majors.

@spareaxe Wow I dont know where all this came from. I guess someone must be a part of this particular performance troupe. But for your own edification, I am a 25 year musical theatre veteren performer. Otherwise, I would have no creditibility to speak from. On the contrary, Thats precisely why I did. Get it? Lets put 30 sec. on the clock.

Love it!! You guys rock. I wish this was still on Broadway, I was in the city a few weeks ago, and I walked all around Time Square so many times!! There were no awesome dancers there then... just lots a people trying to take my money!! I <3 New York. P.S. everyone see Godspell, it's amazing
