  • True, true, Vidal. That's a VERY good point, and I did forget about that. I wish we could use the transparency spinner to go to 100% (instead of using a texture or script), but know that might cause confusion for someone who's new to building and makes their prim disappear.

Thanx for sharing (and watching), and I hope others will take note! :D

  • 0:21 I just noticed there's a huge poo in the background \o/

  • I'm thinking a better way may be to make each prim just big enough to fit in their respected regions.

  • Because if their side by side your still faced with the problem. you gotta cross region so you will fall though the tiny gap.

  • this not a good tip because it only work for the owner of the object or item =(

  • Gee, why didn't the do that in the new Porno Prison? Dumbasses

  • why not just make 2 prims side to side?

i dont quite get it.. lol and it look bad as a result to have 2 prims not fitting perfectly

  • This didnt work for me for some reason. I tried it and I still fell through the floor underground lol

  • Handy tip and something I've used quite a bit. Though I usually make the overlapping prim invisible using a "blankness" texture. You can always use the 'smoke' texture in the library and set the transparency to max... it's very close to invisible and likely not to make any issues if shrunk slightly.

You can also do the same for arched bridges and such, all you need to do is make the invisible helper thick so that the crossing avatar just pops right back up to the surface of the bridge/arch.

  • Torley does that fix also the prob when ya walk from sim to sim and you sink into the ground? Or is it just when a prim crosses a sim only?

  • Thank *you* for the namecheck, Torley! Hahah, made my day, that did.

Hmm, perhaps the client could come with a temporary 'transparent' texture, like the chequerboard in Photoshop. Oh well. That's what JIRA's for. ^_^
