@chatterbox11 hahaha i pronounce idiot as idiot what the fuck are you on lad, eejit is a irish slang word with a similar meaning, and yeah you best quit while your ahead man cus your making americans look pretty fucking stupid seriously haha
-
@libertycaps666 You are making yourself look even stupider. The Gaelic Irish word for idiot is "amadan." "Eejit" is how some Irish people pronounce the word "idiot," which is an English word. When you write in English, you spell the words correctly. You do not spell the words as you would pronounce them when speaking. So, yes, you are the definition of an "idiot."
Anyway, I don't have the time or desire to play with you any longer. Have a nice life. Goodbye.

@chatterbox11 hahaha when did i try to spell idiot i said "eejit" which is an irish word that you lad are the definition of ya fuckin eejit....
-
@libertycaps666 You are very silly. You cannot even spell "idiot" and you are calling me "retarded." Did you even complete basic elementary school?
Also, whether the couple is supposed to be American, Canadian, or Chinese still does not explain why so many people are getting worked up about this scene (including you). It is a very minor scene in the movie, and it is not worth getting angry and arguing about the issue, and this was my point.
So, get a life and move on.

@chatterbox11 are you actually retarded, the couple here are different from the couple colin farrel attacked in the restaurant who were later revealed to be canadian, the family here in this video which i was commenting on are american... and the joke here is obviously colin farrel calling a fat yank family "a bunch of elephants" i dont know what the fuck your on about gobshite
-
@libertycaps666 I don't understand your comment. Sorry, but you are being the idiot.
In the movie, it is later revealed that the couple is Canadian and Collin Farell's character gets arrested for attacking them. It does not matter what you think, I am simply telling you what actually happens in the movie.
Also, the joke is not about Americans (or Canadians), the joke is Collin Farrell is rude to the couple, but he explains to his confused friend that they were rude.
-
@chatterbox11 eh no ya eejit the couple colin farrels character kicked the shite out of in the restarant are revealed to be canadian, these fat shits are defo yanks
-
@riddleman65 Rent the movie. The couple is explicitly revealed to be Canadian later in the film.
So many people are getting hung up on this little scene. Moreover, the joke is not about Americans! It is about how Collin Farrell's character is rude (which his friend does not see), and to explain to his friend why the couple is so angry, he plays off the stereotype of rude Americans. That is the joke--he was the rude one.
-
@futurestoryteller The couple is supposed to be Canadian in the movie.
The joke is not really about Americans. Rather, it is about how Collin Farrell was rude to the couple by calling them elephants and to explain to this confused friend why they are so angry he plays off the stereotype of rude Americans.
-
@stringerboi The couple is Canadian in the film.
The joke is that Colin Farrell was rude to the couple by calling them elephants, but his friend doesn't understand why they are so angry, and then Colin Farrell plays on the stereotype of rude Americans when he in fact was the one who had been rude.
It is silly that so many people are worked up about a minor scene in a movie that had rather limited release. Also, the scene is not even relevant to the plot of the movie.
Go on the irish
