Yes, I've sat up and taken notice for the reasons you describe. I'm just concerned that this campaign narrowly focuses on tragic events from only the last few years, which is a tiny time frame in the context of climate change. Hopefully, though, folks will dig beyond short-term sensationalism and find lasting motivation in scientific evidence.

I don't really see what the point of that video was. There was zero information and some of the pictures of devastated areas (like the burn area in Colorado) have absolutely nothing to do with climate change.

Vector art and AfterEffects are not a substitute for substance.

I am here and my mission this year is to encourage my mid-Michigan community, not to simply send solar ovens to 'third world' countries, but to use them in Michigan. I cook more than 60% of my household meals using a solar cooker. (see yahoo group: SolarCooking) Benefits once you start solar cooking: no mine pollution, death, radiation, deforestation, polluted waters, CO2; completely cease being an energy consumer and become an energy producer each time you cook, can be made from p. chip bags..

It's not about a single year, mild or extreme. But when you have even seasoned skeptical observers, meteorologists with decades of experience changing their minds as they review the history, sit up and take note.

That report supports your claim in the _future_, where ore is assumed to be lower-grade, does it not? Not being a solution is different than being a cause.

I don't advocate for nuclear power. I do question 350's methods of persuasion. The shot of the nuclear plant struck me as an appeal to fear, not reason. Moreover, what if next year's weather is mild? Won't deniers of anthropogenic climate change turn around and disconnect our dots?

Because if one includes the entire fuel cycle, nuclear power results in about the same CO2 as burning natural gas. buildup . eu / publications / 21162
