We tested the Hockey Helmet at in an independent & CPSC Approved Laboratory. A Hockey Helmet with EPP Foam (soft foam) does not pass the CPSC test. The US CPSC Safety standards for helmets that are used for skateboarding, roller skating and bicycling have to meet a standard. The standard is this: A helmet must reduce an impact to the head to under 300 G's. The impact is a Velocity of 6.20 meters per second which is equivalent in layman's terms to a crash going at 14mph or a slam from 6 ft. A Hockey Helmet with EPP Foam does not reduce the impact to under 300 G's and therefore FAILS the CPSC Test.
