im having a hard time figuring out if mine was legitimate or not... i did know the rapist well, since he was my uncle. i went into his house on purpose, so does that mean i asking for it? i didnt fight back, so does that count as consent? even though i was pinned onto my stomach the whole time and couldnt move? senator akin should really put up a public service web site where he can share his expertise in deciding whose rapes count. inquiring minds want to know!

IF a woman has or can get the morning after pill in time, then yes, she should take it. But....What if a self-righteous pharmacist wouldn't give you your legal and prescribed contraception? Women have experienced this phenomenon at certain drugstores in the U.S. And there are elected officials who in addition to objecting to abortion, also want to take away access to contraception. We have to fight the people who want to do this at all costs.

"Rape" and "Legitimate" are two words that should never be combined, just like "Holy" and "War"--they cancel each other out. Against her will is against the law. If she's not sober or she's wearing a short skirt it doesn't matter--it's rape. Whenever he's in any doubt that she would welcome sex on his part, the man should keep his pants on.
