String Theory in Two Minutes

The accent is very easy to understand. Strange irony to a person looking for videos on string theory and being dissatisfied with something like an accent. To be concerned with questions of infinity and also hindered by one man's accent is crazy to me.

@zari0506 Why don't you turn on the subtitles?

What you admirably committed was provide the general community with a laconic description about the basic contours of string theory. It was in many respects commendable, but if you were to make more videos about string theory in the future, could you please include more content? Even though I aknowledge the niceties of string theory, I don't think it'll be very difficult to expand your propositions exponentially.

@vallieluvs2sing The subtitles are spot on with the dialogue. I am an American but after watching a fair amount of foreign shows and films, understanding Britiish and Indian accents really isn't that difficult.

@MegaFantastique thank you for informing me, now i can watch it again

This is an amazing video to say the least. I wish it was a bit longer. Really in fact I would have paid for such clarity. For example AdS/CFT duality which kept me confused (I am at the moment just completing QFT) became clear in few seconds. How about creating a much longer version and asking money for it. Trust me many will be happy to buy.

@vallieluvs2sing That's the funniest comment yet. You tube didn't make the subtitles. One of the authors provided the transcript.

Yea I dont see why you cant understand them either. Funny comment by -notusualtalk "indglish", haha. Good video.

I can understand him fine, but my native language is American-English and happen to know some Indian folks. But, consider that some people might not be used to hearing it, which is what the basic issue is.
Even if he spoke English with a London accent, in most presentations, people speak slowly because people hear things differently. That's why in professional presentations people don't rush through things, and use a methodical and deliberate approach.

Well, it is string theory in 2 damn minutes.
Everyone trying to point out faults in your video by saying you are speaking too quickly is incorrect. You did a fine job and they are probably just complaining because they can't understand the material given :)

@nickusa317 That is indeed possible. I fail to understand why people can't watch the damn thing again if they don't understand it.

You've posted this to youtube in an effort to reach a wider audience. Speaking too quickly will only hamper your message, regardless of the reasonableness of its content.

@gr33nman Its a good point but the video was originally made for the Discover magazine competition. Though I understand that for many people its hard to follow but it comes with subtitles and covers a lot of concepts. Being a video those interested are free to view it as many times as they want.
