Long had some problems getting into the stride of King but I think he is getting better - with Elfslayer and Shamanslayer I think he is getting into it and they are both better than his other works.

It has to be hard though to take over two such loved characters from a fantastic writer - so kudos to Long: Keep up the good work!

Thanks Nathan ! That tips helped me a lot ! I still an amateur, but i passed much time Game mastering the RPG and reading the books. So i started to write my first book, "Lady of the Blades", wich i wish to publicate one day ... 'till there, i keep dreaming

I am a huge gotrek fan and to be honest I was not sure what to expect when Mr. Long took over the sereis from Bill King.... but after reading them they are exellent and continue to portray Gotrek, Felix and the rest of the chareters in the novels as I and I am sure many others have come to know and love them

Mr Long seems like a funny and humble guy, I thank him for this insight. Three month deadline, though? Yeesh. That would turn me into a gibbering wreck. No wonder Mr Dembski Bowden is always butting heads with BL over that particular detail.

I actually prefer Long to King. He puts much more depth into the characters, I find.

The first time i read a Gotrek and Felix story was way back in1993 and it was "The dark beneath the world".The idea of a normal human following a suicidal dwarf and wittnessing the story from his point of view was awesome.Over the years i read 1 or 2 more.Then in 1999 black library began the saga anew and i have been following them ever since.The stories were always about felix going all over the old world and us with him.Seeing things humans normally dont get to see,survive and grow as a person
