  • good video, thanks for that!

in all honesty i thought it ment barcodes on pakaging, not the computer barcodes.

    once again good video.

  • thank you :)

  • Do you have to press a button to capture the image or this realtime?

  • nope. while in the barcode reader application, it continuously scans until it sees the barcode (which is what the red lines are for). once the barcode is detected, it automatically scans it. no need to press a button.

  • i also thought it's for barcodes in packagings. lol.

  • Yeah same here, I thought certain selected Barcodes would give info, But not Barcodes that we know. What a total omission by Nokia, from their manual. !!! Dingbats

    isnt it pronounced nOkia

  • The Nokia N95 barcode reader works for some types of barcodes, but not others. It doesn't work for the typical linear barcodes that you see in most places, but works with some matrix barcodes, such as Semacode, DataMatrix, and QR Code. Wikipedia 'barcode', scroll to the bottom, and test out the barcode reader with the various barcodes there.

  • Does this work on real barcodes cos i'm confused

  • yeah,y?

  • lol me 2 :D

  • Is it possible to download some basic map data to the phone and use google maps mobile offline?

  • those are RFID codes not barcodes and it works

  • Why the hell is this useful? I, like many others, thought it would scan real BARcodes as well...
