  • Sounds like someone was having a hard time in the background there :D

Great videos! I'm quite anxious to get back into ceramics and these videos definitely feed that desire. Thanks!

  • ha, listen closely at 2:36. Sounds like someone's frustrated!

  • hahaha i like it at around 2:38 someone in the back round says "awhhh shit".:)

  • Nice trimming video! I second the suggestion of the Salt Pygg demo - maybe some lidded pots too :) Thanks as always!

  • ooooh, i never thought about the little dot in the middle is so useful....

  • Simon the next time you do a video on Kilns can you please explain what these "cone" things are people talk about and how they relate to kiln temps.

    Thanks Jim.

  • God only knows I said a lot worse at the wheel... lol...

Simon so off the wall question... Do you let background music influence your throwing ? Classical or Ambient music seems to work the best when doing functional ware..

  • Simon, how about showing us how you make your Salt Pigs, a really Lrg pitcher ( not Jugs haha ), or That Raku Egg? We haven't seen your quadruple bowls finished yet either. Looking forward to your plate decoration video too! Just a few more idea's

  • HAhAhAha! Way to go Dave! Those don't seem to be Shimpo whisper wheels do they heehee, just abit noisey. What are C & D doing today? That's a different way to burnish the bottoms? Thanks Simon and all.

  • Hi Simon, You make your tapping technique look so easy. I'm still working on it but I'll tell ya, I've "launched" more bowls then centered!! Still, I prefer it to other methods so I just keep at it. Thanks for the video, it's great as usual (they are all so helpful).

Warm Regards from Debbie in Florida

  • that trimming tool, just a strip of mettle? o, gunna try that
