This is the last of the three Concordes landing at Heathrow on 24th October 2003. My friend and I were based on the bend at the end of the runway at Heathrow, not realising how bad the light was going to be by the time the last one came in just after 4pm.

  • Gentlemen, Thanks for posting such a nice video of Concorde, its take me back in September 1995, when I flown on BA Concorde flight (special promotion flight for Travel Agents only) from Jeddah to London in just 3:30 hours where else a normal Boeing flight journey is 9 hours

  • actually i dont know what you are on about fly boymd82 because the first concorde prototype first flew in tolouse in 1969 and the 747 also first flew in 1969 and concorde was obviously the supirior aircraft

  • lol

  • uuhhhh. My other comment was a year ago! Lost interest in this silly argument a long long time ago...

  • 747 Flew long before Concorde and is still flying long after Concorde has been taken out of service and will be for decades! Who won?

Oh yeah, the 747 actually makes revenue for its operators too! LOL!

You morons would still be flying kites if it weren't for us Americans inventing aircraft.

  • I dunno why you said that. Concorde is perfectly safe.

Don't trust the crap some people say, it is safe.

  • Very true, but woudlnt you rather fly on an aircraft that was 90% safer? Even if it ment taking longer?

  • One Concorde crashed because of a piece of metal that came off a Douglas DC10 and they have the best safty record of any commercial airliner that has ever flown. And the Concorde had (surprisingly) few technical difficulties. Yes it did have more than most other airliners but it did fly nearly 4 times faster and twice as high.

  • 1/2 of the concords built eather 1) crashed 2) after a short amount of time, they had bad technical difficulties and had to go throw extensive repairs which were quite costly. I agree, I dont think any boeings are great, thats why I wish Douglas would start back again.

  • Concorde is the best thing ever built.

How could stupid amercans say the 747 is queen of the skies. They're so jealous of Concorde.
