  • @limegreensquid The game is worth playing, as it's definitely one of the best Zelda style games of the 8 bit era. The fact that it's a movie based game that's actually good and worth playing is a triumph on its own I think.

  • One movie based game that was actually good... *sigh*

  • Never played this, but it's got really good music!

  • Memories of the 80s kicked in at 2:55

  • @odetofall1 I freaking love this game!! Don't worry I am thinking about Let's Playing this game sometime soon.

  • that one thst starts at 1:40 Beautiful

  • this is perfect for hiphop beats.

  • Man nothing as sweet as that mono 8 bit sound.

  • Nintendo had some really great video game designers that made games of high quality even with limited technology & graphics. I wish modern game designers would take note of this & focus less on every 3d character having a perfect shadow & spend more time making games that are satisfying & fun to play.

Maybe its just bc i was so young when i played alot of these but the older games sucked me in more than anything new. Maybe its bc they were made for a general audience & not for 14yr old kids.

  • You know, there were definitely times where the scenery started to feel really samey, and individual screens did get reused a lot, which made things a little tedious occasionally, but other than that, this was a killer game. People always looked at Crystalis as the NES's great Zelda clone, but for me, it was this one (and it certainly had a measure more complexity and detail than the first Zelda, too).

Kind of like a proto one player Secret of Mana on the NES, really.
