Blew an o-ring on the turbo and started to run on motor oil sucked into intake. Finally killed it after shooting a dry-chem fire extinguisher into the intake.

  • Why did it take 7 people 1 minute 30 seconds to stop a runaway diesel? This is something that the driver should *always* be prepared to handle when it comes to it!

  • I love the guys still faffing around in the cabin "Whah wownt tis dang thing stawp!?! I done gawt the key raht here!"

  • it would suck so bad to just be sitting in the cab like "yup just sittin here watchin my truck blow up"

  • @mr3vil666 i did not know that lol good to know though

  • @fordpride101 Kill switches don't work when a Diesel engine becomes a runaway. It occurs when an oil seal has failed and allows the engine to burn oil from the crankcase. Since diesels don't have an ignition system all you can do in the event of a runaway is to stop the air, which is quite hard unless you have a CO2 fire extinguisher.

  • @hoppsrabbit most drivers running high class's have kill switches inside the cab but this guy eather dident have one or he was to dumb to use it

  • Redneck Science

  • @TurboIDI the motors probably fine lol those 5.9 cummins are pretty hard to fuck up

  • @t55b12 it probably would have launched into the crowd.

surprised it took em that long to shut it off

  • 3 words: positive air shutoff

  • How does this happen & how best to stop it & still save the engine? - possibly.

  • is it a ford?

Prolly just wants to end its misery

HOWEVER, this is why a jake brake is always a good thing to have
