2011 Macbook Pro 13" Gaming - Amnesia: The Dark Descent

This is another video documenting the graphics performance of the 2011 13" Macbook Pro (i5, Intel 3000). Keep in mind that I am also running screenflow to screencap, so that dampers the performance a little bit.

The specs of this Macbook Pro are:
- 2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
- 320GB 5400-rpm hard drive
- Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 384MB DDR3 SDRAM shared memory

Hey, nice vid. =) Been debating doing a walkthrough video of Amnesia when I get my new MBP and this definitely helped. Question for you -- what software do you use for screencapturing with narration on the mac?

@BlackjackKent I use Screenflow. Don't know if it's the best, but it works just fine.

when I record amnesia on screenflow, it is in a smaller box and has black spots around it, can you help me?

i have 2011 macbook pro, tested on highest everything maxed out. i have hd 3000 2.4 ghz... and there was no lag.

you sure u did not have too many things running at the same time while running the game?

though i was only at the beginning level, i tested it worked and then quit the game.... it was late, room was dark... i wanted to sleep :D

You haven't recorded the sound of the macbook? The fan is going crazy very quickly when running Amnesia and that is because the temperature rises of the integrated 3d gfx chip...

I have the exact same mac, and when I try to run Penumbra, an older game by the creators of Amnesia, the game glitches out. Did you have any issues like this on Amnesia?

I thought that this game had issues with the Intel chipsets because of driver problems... Have those been fixed now? And without screenflow, how well does it run?

I'm getting the i7 13" later today :)
