17-March-2010 This should be my last update on the indoor garden as I will now start on my plants for my outdoor garden. As far as I am concerned this experiment was a success. I did get the plants to grow tomatoes only with a grow light indoors without bees during the winter. It does take a long time put it can be done. I moved some of my plants upstairs so they can receive sunlight. I should have tomatoes ready to eat in May!

  • How do you know what a female flower looks like and what dose a male flower look like?

  • @7070ron on a tomato plant each flower has a male part on the top and female part on the bottom so all you have to do is vibrate with a tooth brush and each flower should pollinate. Other plants like squash for example, the female flowers will be short have a small ball at the base of the flower and the male flowers will be real long and skinny,

  • nice vids

  • This is worth looking into.. thank you !!!!

  • @morningmayan Well I use a little paint brush. Get the polen from the male flower on to the female flower. I suppose the electric tooth brush does the same but with the vibrations it helps loosen up the polen....I'll send you a video that I made with the pain brush...hope it helps!

  • @jihadacadien Could you explain when you use the toothbrush on the plant - I'm confused? Thanks

  • the strawberries came up!?!? wow ahahha. this is great. would like to see more!

  • Nice job! 7 mo.s of growth- once they hit the dirt u'll have multiple harvests soon after... I did something similar only in reverse...at the end of summer I brought in my tom.s,basil & chives, over winter they still produced (natural light-south window) & the next summer I replanted them. Try it next Fall.
