Puffer fish with out the hard skin, unlike this one can puff up only a number of times before it does damage to it's body. See porcupine fish such as this one puffs up not because it was scared but to test the puffing up technique, also soft skin puffers do this to. Do your research people this hobby is getting more information by the day and staying up to date is the key to being successful when owning or caring for a saltwater aquarium :)

@StealthyKunoichiAly yes but as it starts to grow you will have to either upgrade tanks or get rid of it. And also depends on what kind of puffer you want
