  • Leaves are very dry. So even though you are making pellets how much heat will you actually get out of it? Or do you dry out your leaves first?

  • @TheAutoexchange If they where to dry It wouldn't make pellets , Most of the time you can get away with running them threw the mill , without having to dry them unless it rains alot, then you would need to dry them or mix them with another material that is to dry.

  • Will the energy output of a bucket of pellets be greater than the amount of diesel used to make that bucket of pellets?

  • @EarlyPorsche1 If You figure what an Oil furnace uses to make the same amount of Heat , Yes the energy output will be greater.

  • Doesn't take long , you just need to take your lawn tractor and go over a few times , it will get them small enough to pelletize .
