Elenin Destroyed by Sun- the Threat is Gone

I bring you this quote from Ian Musgrave, "We've been following it in the STEREO spacecraft images and a number of amateurs have been following it in their telescopes," said Australian amateur astronomer Ian Musgrave, author of the Astroblog website. "Shortly after the coronal mass ejection the comet flared up and you could see some beautiful details in the tail, with the tail was twisting about in the solar wind. But shortly after that Earth- bound amateurs reported a huge decrease in the intensity of the comet. We think it may presage a falling apart of the comet." This appears to be where the dying out theory has originated on some level when it comes to comet Elenin. Comets apparently burn out all the time and its nothing new for a comet to do so say many specialists. Another Australian amateur Michael Mattiazzo has been taking images of the comet who runs the website Southern Comets and he has noticed that the nucleus appears to be elongating. When that occurs, usually the comet disintegrates or splits apart. So many astronomers are indeed saying this comet is burning out. Which leaves us with our final conjecture.

A new report is in at TheWeatherSpace.com and the report states that Comet Elenin is dimming and falling apart.

"I can confirm with many other astronomers that Elenin will not make perihelion this Fall," Art Powell from Florida says. "Elenin's coma is becoming elongated and this means it is falling apart."

Comets are fragile ice rocks that can; and do break apart.
The threat is over - if there was a threat... either way I'm giving full credit to all of our positive wishes for the safety of the planet:))
