I love Shannon. She - a great gymnast! She is very elegant that uncommon for gymnasts the United States. I like it more than Nastia Liukin.

@mortella23 i agree!! it always looked like she was going to land on her face then she sticks it

Beautiful routine. But her dismounts always scared me it never seemed like she got enough height to complete it!

Wow!

@luv4cookie1 It is simply not possible for her to have a stress fracture in her ankle during the Olympics,s he would not have been able to do anything she did. Also her elbow was healed by the Olympics, training for the Olympics though she had to train through pain to get there.

I did my project on her and i got the best score
Shes so good at her routies just awsome shes pretty good at what she have become and going higher lvls are just to good

@1982mjdk I wish she had kept it also, but that routine was inpossible for her by 1996. Her left wrist had been in such bad shape,... it just wouldn't happened. :-( This performance would have medaled in Atlanta.

I love how Shannon performed that free hip hecht. She never broke form, and always had a nice swing once she regrasped the bar from low to high. I'm not sure what the rating was for that skill during that time, but I do wish she had kept it.
The hit handstands really only started coming into play in 2001 on. They wanted them before but the deductions weren't as big for not making them.
